We’ve been screening for Congenital Heart Diseases in Children for free of cost in our very own screening Center at Anekal General Hospital, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. It is truly the right of every child to have a healthy heart.

We also got featured on the Free Press Journal. The story is a simple one. How a father saved his daughter’s life which led to this beautiful mission called @catchingheartsfoundation

Heart Health Awareness drive at Akshara college, Anekal! We did this to drive more people to get their free heart echo scans done at our Center in Anekal General Hospital😊 The Young adults were left with their heart pumping after power packed grooves.

Happy to be featured on DNA for the work we’ve been doing this last year. It’s been a good year for us completing almost 3000 Echo scans and about 100 cases detected.

There’s nothing more fulfilling than working with a purpose. As we near the 1000 scans mark, we were reflecting about what drives us to serve our communities, reach children with heart care which otherwise would never cross minds.. A purpose fuelled by personal loss, and journeys has made us resilient towards the work we do. We can’t wait to create new milestones and save more lives!

Catching Hearts Foundation took a giant step in reaching out to the Hearts of the Rural and tribal children with an outreach programme wherein we had Doctors visiting Residential schools in Chamrajanagar.The plan is to detect heart defects through the Auscultatory method by checking the heart sounds for murmurs and irregular heart beats and also talk about the Heart health!Morarji Desai Residential School,B R Hills was our first destination wherein 260 Tribal and Rural children were screened for Heart defects❤️

Another batch of kiddos underwent echocardiogram scans! Congenital Heart Diseases are more common than ever and the stats we have proves that! We want to make sure no child is left behind with an undiagnosed heart condition.

JULY UPDATE! 📣 200 ECHOCARDIOGRAM SCANS COMPLETED! 📣

We completed 200 echocardiogram scans for children between the age of 3 - 15 in east taluk of Bengaluru and we have detected 7 cases of CHDs, these are 7 lives where early diagnosis can make all the difference! So proud of the team!

Last weekend we got to celebrate the third anniversary of Spandana Heart and Super speciality hospital, the team has worked tirelessly along with our team towards the mission of “Not leaving any child behind”, we are grateful to the management team to give us the opportunity to share our vision with the larger world and helping us kickstart operations in the east taluk of Bengaluru! What an absolute incredible day for @catchingheartsfoundation ♥️ We kickstarted our screening camp with scanning hearts through the Doppler echocardiogram followed by the lighting of the lamp, a scrumptious meal, the room was vibrant and energetic with dance moves by the little stars and the Asha workers of East Taluk, Bengaluru! We also got to hear from Dr. Mohan from Spandana Multi speciality-Cardiac Hospital on the importance of heart scans to detect CHDs! We are so excited for this journey and we would like to thank our donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries for making this happen!

IAS former Head of Bangalore Urban Zilla Panchayat, and the current Deputy Commissioner of Hassan District, Govt. of Karnataka talks about the rising concern of Heart diseases among vulnerable children in rural Karnataka and how synergies between the government and private organisations can ensure sustainable healthcare solutions!

He is also the guiding light of Catching Hearts Foundation, enforcing the mission of early detection, intervention and education to all!

All my heart, finally on paper.

For the first time in the world.. a sophisticated procedure like echocardiogram would be done at scale to detect CHDs in rural Karnataka for free of cost.

It’s been two years since I thought about this project, shared it with my family, designed it a million different ways to cross tapes of all colours across all kinds of bureaucrat walls, offices, doors, it’s been a beautiful journey so far putting all the pieces together.

The work begins now.

It’s the right of every child to know it has a healthy heart. :)
